The United States Census Bureau says the nation’s working women have made progress in jobs traditionally held by men, but the organization says women are still less likely to reach the highest paying jobs. The Census Bureau says that almost sixteen percent of men earn at least seventy-five thousand dollars a year, but only six percent of women earn such pay. It also said almost twenty percent of men earn between fifty thousand and seventy-five thousand dollars a year. Only twelve percent of women in the United States earn that amount.
