• Double-click the downloaded file ([Update_SLTA77V105.dmg] for SLT-A77 and [Update_SLTA65V105.dmg] for SLT-A65) .
  Do not connect the camera yet at this point.
• [Update_SLTA77V105] (or [SLT-Update_SLTA65V105]) is expanded.
• Double-click the icon
• To load a kernel extension, the message prompts you to allow the application to make changes. Type the password for the administrative account. (Figure 2-1)
  
• Firmware Updater starts up. (Figure 2-2)
  

According to the instruction on Firmware Updater, select [Menu] → [Setup] → [USB Connection] on the camera, and check if [Mass Storage] is selected (Figure 3).
If the mode other than [Mass Storage] is selected, please select [Mass Storage].

Remove the memory card from the camera beforehand.

• Connect the camera to the computer with the supplied USB cable.
  ”USB Mode” appears on the LCD monitor of the camera.
• After confirming the above, click [Next] on Firmware Updater. Figure 4 appears on Firmware Updater, and Figure 5 appears on the LCD monitor of the camera.

• * In clicking [Next], do not cover Eyepiece sensors during the update; otherwise, the LCD monitor may switch to the Viewfinder. If you can not see anything on the LCD monitor, please press [FINDER/LCD button] (Figure 6).

		From now on, never turns off the camera until the firmware update is completed.

• After confirming the screens on Figures 4 and 5, click [Next]. The current version and the version after the update appear on the lower left part of the screen. (Figure 7)
• After confirming [Current version] is [Ver.1.02], [Ver.1.03] or [Ver.1.04] , click [Next].
  
  
  

  		If Current version is Ver.1.05, the upgrade is not required. According to the message, stop the USB connection and click Finish. Turn off the camera, remove the battery pack or the AC adaptor, and then turn on the camera again.

• The screen below appears.

  

• Press the center of the multi-selector (the control button) to execute.

  		The LCD monitor urns off when the center of the multi-selector (the control button) is pressed. Please proceed to the next step.

  

• Click [Next] on Firmware Updater. (Figure 11)

  

• After resetting, reconnection of the camera is verified, and the screen on Figure 12 appears.

• Click [Run] to start the update.
  The progress bar appears while updating (approximately 5 minutes).

  		Never turn off the camera nor disconnect the USB cable while updating.

  

When the update is completed, the screen on Figure 13 appears.
Click [Finish] and disconnect the USB cable.

		Turn off the camera, remove the battery pack or the AC adaptor, and then turn on the camera again.
