Jul/07/2005 For owners of Network Walkman NW-E405/E407/E505/E507, we offer the Display Screen file download service. We provide the Display Screen file exclusively for NW-E405/E407/E505/E507. Please read carefully the following instructions to make sure to download the Display Screen file and set the Display Screen properly. [Target product] The target product should be satisfied by the condition below. ・ Network Walkman NW-E405/E407/E505/E507 * The target version of the firmware is only 2.00. Please confirm the firmware version from the steps below. 1. Press and hold the SEARCH/MENU button for half a second in stop mode. 2. Rotate the Shuttle switch to select “Advanced Menu>” and press the (PLAY/STOP) button to confirm. 3. Rotate the Shuttle switch to select “Information>” and press the (PLAY/STOP) button to confirm. 4. Confirm the version of the firmware at [4:] by rotating the Shuttle switch. [Target PC environment] ・ Bundled software SonicStage Ver.3.0* with Network Walkman NW- E405/E407/E505/E507 is installed. * Including the SonicStage upgraded from the former version to 3.1. [Download Procedure] Please follow the steps below to download the program. Set up the folder for storing the downloaded file on your hard drive. Assume the folder is named “NW_DS” and it is made in C drive. Download the preferred Display Screen file on the folder created at Step1. aquarium.nwm (40 KB) stardust.nwm (29 KB) After the download is completed, select [Views]-[Details] in the Explorer to check the file size. If the file size is not the same as the file size showing above, try to download the file again. [The Setting Procedure of Display Screen] Once the download is finished, please follow the steps below to copy the Display Screen to the unit and set Display Screen.   1. Connect the unit and the computer by the supplied USB cable.. 2. Open [My Computer]-[Removable Disc(E:)].A drive letter “(E:)” is different depending on the PC environment. 3. Select [File]-[New]-[Folder] from Menu and create a folder “NWWM-SCR” on theunit. * Make the folder name one-byte character. * If “NWWM-SCR” folder already exists, it is not necessary to make a folder. 4. Open “NW-DS” folder created at [Download procedure] step 1. 5. Select your choice of the Display Screen File and select [Edit]-[Copy] from Menu. 6. Open the folder “NWWM-SCR” created at step 3 and select [Edit]-[Paste] from Menu to copy the file. *. Please copy only one Display Screen file to “NWWM-SCR” folder. If the Display Screen file already exists in “NWWM-SCR” folder, move it to somewhere in thehard drive of the computer. 7. Disconnect the unit from the computer. 8. Select the display you wish to set and check the box on the menu mode of the unit(Display Screen). Refer to“Selecting the display types(Display Screen)” in the Operating Instructions.    Now, the setting of Display Screen is completed. [Note] ・ If the Network Walkman is initialized (formatted), all contents such as the created “NWWM-SCR” folder and the copied Display Screen file are erased.
