  • When you install the Digital Voice Editor for ICD-MS/P/S/BP Series, you can create compatible file types except for the DVF(LPEC: for ICD-ST series) file. (You can play back the DVF (LPEC: for ICD-ST series) file.) When you install the Digital Voice Editor for ICD-MS/ST/S/BP Series, you can create all the file types except for the DVF(TRC) files. (You can play back the DVF(TRC) file.) When you install both types of the Digital Voice Editor software, you can handle all the compatible file types.

*1: The DVF file has four formats: for ICD-BPx50 series, for ICD-BP100/BPx20 series, for ICD-ST series, and for ICD-P series. Although they have the same file extension, their compatibilities are limited.
*2: The MSV(LPEC) file, although having the same extension, is not compatible with the MSV(ADPCM) file and cannot be played or edited on the ICD-MS1 or the Digital Voice Editor Ver.1.x
*3: The MSV(ADPCM) file, although having the same file extension, is not compatible with the MSV(LPEC) file, except that they can be played back or edited on the Digital Voice Editor.
*4: When an MP3 file is added to the IC Recorder or Memory Stick, it is converted to the file type that meets the destination IC Recorder type. You cannot add an MP3 file as it is without conversion.
*5: The ICS Converter is available on the Sony's website as a free software.
