FAQ

3 File Format

Is it possible to convert WAV files and MP3 files?

A3: Yes, it is possible. The table below shows the compatibilities in converting and saving a file.
When you convert or save a file in a file of a different sound compression format, the file is re-compressed, degrading the sound quality. In some conversions, the recorded date data of the original file may be lost or changed. The table also shows which WAV file types an original file will be converted when you select the [WAV (auto-conversion)] as save as type.
However, the conversion between ST/SP and LP recording modes is not possible.

[Note]
  •
  • Depending on the area. Some IC Recorder models may not be available.
  •
  • When you install the Digital Voice Editor for ICD-MS/P/S/BP Series, you can create compatible file types except for the DVF(LPEC: for ICD-ST series) file. (You can play back the DVF (LPEC: for ICD-ST series) file.) When you install the Digital Voice Editor for ICD-MS/ST/S/BP Series, you can create all the file types except for the DVF(TRC) files. (You can play back the DVF(TRC) file.) When you install both types of the Digital Voice Editor software, you can handle all the compatible file types.
