Can the recorded message be played back on the computer in which Digital Voice Editor has not been installed ?

A1:

If "Player Plugin for Windows Media Playe"is installed to the computer, the recorded message can be played back on Windows Media Player.

For Windows 2000 or later

For Windows 2000 Professional/Windows XP/Windows Vista, click here.

*1: The version of "Windows Media Player" should be Ver.6.4 or higher.

Can the recorded message be converted into MP3 file?

A2:

Yes, the message can be converted into MP3 file.
Messages (WAV/DVF/MSV file) saved in the computer or voice files on the computer (WMA/WAV file) can be converted into MP3 file.

You can convert the file format of messages (WAV/DVF/MSV file) saved in the computer or voice files on the computer (WMA/WAV file) into MP3 files by one of the followings.

- After selecting the file, click MP3 Conversion ( MP3 Conversion ) on toolbar.
- After selecting the file, select [ MP3 Conversion ] from [ PC ] on menu bar.
- After selecting the file, right-click and select [ MP3 Conversion ] from the short-cut menu.

[Note]
-When a file of different file format is converted, the file is re-compressed and the sound quality may be reduced. And recorded dates data may not be succeeded.
-MP3 file cannot use the following functions.
  -Voice recognition, adding a bookmark, dividing a message, etc.
-The conversion of all files is not guaranteed.
-When using the ICD-SXxx0 series, you cannot add an MSV (LPEC) /MP3/WMA file whose file size exceeds 1GB. A WAV file whose file size exceeds 2 GB cannot be added either. For other types of IC recorders, you cannot add a file whose file size exceeds 2 GB. Before adding a message whose file size exceeds the limits, divide it or do other measures to reduce its file size.

Is relevant information stored in MP3 file, which is ID3 tag, reflected on Digital Voice Editor?

A3:

Yes. The title and artist name are reflected on the Digital Voice Editor.

ID3 tag versions which Digital Voice Editor supports are Version 1.0, 1.1, 2.2 and 2.3.

An artist name will be displayed up to 254 alphameric characters in [User/Artist name] area.

*Depending on the MP3 file type, ID3 tag may not be reflected.

What kinds of file format can be used on the Digital Voice Editor ver.3.3?

The file formats that can be handled with Digital Voice Editor ver.3.3 are as follows .

- MP3 file [extension: .mp3]
- DVF file [extension: .dvf] *1 *2
- MSV file [extension: .msv] *1
- WMA file [extension: .wma] *3
- WAV file [extension: .wav]

*1 There are some file formats for each IC recorder series in DVF or MSV file. You can add the file to the another IC recorder series by converting the file.

*2 When you handle the DVF file recorded by ICD-P series such as saving, editing or converting, please install by setting that use the ICD-P series.

*3 WMA file that can be played back on the Windows Media Player is supported. WMA Ver.9 is compatible. However, MBR (Multi Bit Rate), Lossless, Professional, and Voice are not supported. A file with copyright protection cannot be played back.
