Does the unit have the power button?

A1:

No, it doesn't.

After releasing HOLD function, push any button to turn on the power.

When pushing or button and stopping playback (or FM radio reception), the display will automatically be cleared after a few seconds and the playback will enter standby mode.

*In the standby mode of playback, the battery is hardly drained.

Does the unit have recording function via analog cable?

A2:

No, the unit does not have recording function.

How can I turn on/off the power?

A3:

Release the HOLD switch and press any button.

When you pause song playback (or FM radio reception) by pressing the button, after a few seconds, "POWER OFF" appears and the display goes off automatically, then the player enters Sleep status.

* The player consumes very little battery power.

How can I change the Style-Up Panel?

A4:

Follow the instructions below to change the Style-Up Panel.

1. Slide the HOLD switch in the direction of the arrow () to deactivate the player, and then remove the USB cap.

2. Slide the Style-Up Panel in the direction of the arrow slightly, and remove.

3. Place the supplied Style-Up Panel on the front face of the player alongside the guide line, and then slide in to attach.

4. Attach the supplied matching USB cap.

Note:
・Be sure to attach the Style-Up Panel when you use the player.
・Be sure to attach the Style-Up Panel properly. Otherwise, you may not be able to operate the buttons of the player properly.
・Handle the Style-Up Panel with care. If the Style-Up Panel becomes deformed, you may not be able to attach the Style-Up Panel or operate buttons of the player.
・If dust or dirt gets on the Style-Up Panel, remove with a dry clothe, etc.

Can I enter the title with the player?

A5:

No, you cannot enter with the player.

Regarding titles, edit the ID3 tag information or the file names with your computer, and then transfer to the player.

Can I delete an audio file with the player?

A6:

You cannot delete the audio files with the player. Connect the player to your computer, and then delete unnecessary audio files using Windows Explorer.

* If the built-in flash memory is formatted, all files are deleted. After the formatting, you cannot recover the data.

How can I transfer songs to the player from my computer?

A7:

If you transfer by using Windows Explorer, follow the below instructions.
1. Connect the player directly to the USB port of your computer.
2. Select [My Computer] - [WALKMAN] or [Removable Disk].
3. Copy the audio files or folders they include audio files you want transfer to the [MUSIC] folder.

Note:
- For details of the playable audio file format, click here
- While the software is transferring data, do not disconnect the player.
- By using SonicStage (a music controller software provided by Sony), you cannot transfer data.
- The player cannot display/play songs beyond the 8th folder level.
- The maximum number of files to be transferred to the player is 2,048 files, and maximum number of folders is 1,024 folders, and the total maximum number of files and folders directory under one folder is approximately 300. Transfer files under the above conditions.
