Can I replace the built-in battery by myself?

A1: Consult your nearest Sony dealer for replacing the built-in battery.
How long is the built-in battery life?

A2:

Although it depends on the environment how to use the unit, generally, it is possible to repeat full charge and discharge about 500 times.

* Charge of one time is considered as charging from discharged level to full.

What is an indication of replacing the built-in battery?

A3:

If battery duration becomes about half of the normal duration even though it is fully charged, it indicates the built-in battery needs to be replaced. Consult your nearest Sony dealer for replacing the built-in battery.

How long does it take to charge the built-in battery?

A4:

It takes approximately 1.5 hours for 80% charge, and 3 hours for full-charge of the battery.

* The charging time will vary depending on remaining battery power and battery condition. If the battery is charged in a low-temperature environment, the charging time will be longer.

How can I charge the built-in battery?

A5:

The battery can be charged by connecting the player to the computer.

Notes:
In the following cases, wait until the player shows "Full" to charge the battery:
- If it is the first time to use the player.
- If you did not use the player for a long time.

What would happen to the battery life between charges when I recharge the battery in the [Battery Care] mode?

A6:

As the player stops recharging when the battery is charged to 90% of the maximum recharge capacity, the battery life between charges is shortened about 10%.

How does the battery indicator on the display show when the player finishes recharging in the [Battery Care] mode?

A7:

The battery indicator on the display shows as [FULL BATTERY] when the player finishes recharging even in the case you recharge the battery in the [Battery Care] mode.
The duration for the first increment of scale of the battery indicator is less than the one in the normal recharge mode.
