Thank you for using Sony PC.
If any of the following cases applies to your PC, you might fail to update the VAIO software.
- You have uninstalled "McAfee Security Center" which is preinstalled in VAIO.
- You use other virus software than McAfee Security Center.
Uninstalling McAfee Security Center leaves some files on the hard drive and these files cause the updater to fail.
Use MCPR.exe provided by McAfee to completely delete the McAfee Security Center.
Download MCPR.exe as follows;
- Step1;
- Click the link below.
- Step2;
- Search and download the removal tool from "Download and run MCPR.exe".

Use MCPR.exe only when you uninstalled McAfee Security Center.
Never use MCPR.exe if you would like to continue to use McAfee Security Center.

平素より当社製品をご愛顧いただきありがとうございます。
お客様の環境が以下に該当する場合、本アップデートプログラムを実行しますとアップデートに失敗することがあります。
- VAIOにプリインストールされている「マカフィー・PCセキュリティセンター」を削除している場合
- 「マカフィー・PCセキュリティセンター」以外のウイルスソフトをご利用している場合
この場合、「マカフィー・PCセキュリティセンター」の関連ファイルが完全に削除されずに残ってしまうことが原因の可能性があります。
ソフトウェアのアップデートを実行する前に、以下のWebサイトにある、"MCPR.exe"の実行をお試しください。

MCPR.exeの実行はVAIOに搭載した「マカフィー・PCセキュリティセンター」のアンインストールを実施したお客様のみお試しください。
「マカフィー・PCセキュリティセンター」をご利用のお客様はMCPR.exeを実行することにより「マカフィー・PCセキュリティセンター」が削除されるため、実行しないでください。
