Sony would like to inform that as of July 23, 2010, Sony ceased the free replacement service via headphone helpline, which had been announced on June 25, 2009, through Sony website.

Regarding the world model, Sony Digital Noise Cancelling Headphone “MDR-NC600D(JE) ”, launched from June 15th, 2009, we have discovered in some rare cases the product may exhibit a symptom attributed to acoustic feedback in a specific mode in certain environments and conditions (the serial numbers of affected products are noted later in this document). Therefore we have determined to temporarily stop sales of the product.
We will exchange affected models free of charge for an improved product.
We will announce the timing of re-launch the product and a free product exchange on the Sony Overseas model web site in the middle of July.
